Comfort in a Heating Climate

  • Make/shift HQ, Fremantle Piazza 36 South Terrace Fremantle, Western Australia, 6160 Australia (map)

The heat is coming. The Northern hemisphere has just had its worst summer yet, and every projection tells us we’re just getting started. The every-man-for-himself response is to buy a bigger air con, shoulder higher power bills, and cross our fingers for next year. We’ve got something more collective (and more creative) in mind.

This practical workshop explores what shared comfort could look like in a warming world: not just inside our own homes, but across our streets, neighbourhoods, and communities. Together we'll explore innovative ideas for adapting to hotter summers while making our suburbs greener, more connected, and more resilient for everyone.

Climate resilience isn't just about surviving heatwaves. It's about creating places where people can still gather, play, look after each other and feel at home, even as the climate changes around us.

Stick around after this session for our screening of the film Water is Love, with beanbags and popcorn!
